Lihi Nidiz draws inspiration from the familiar and known while creating disruption, allowing the viewer a renewed experience. This work was inspired by the song “Enola Gay” by OMD, which refers to the aerial bombing of Hiroshima. The song’s name is the same as the bomber that dropped the atomic bomb (“Little Boy”). The nickname “Enola Gay” was given to the aircraft after the pilot’s mother. In this work, an electrical cable carrying excess electrical charge is connected to a socket on one end and released at the other.
