In her works, Liat Elbling creates spaces that are often quotations of familiar places, early memories, or interpretations of other photographs that inspire her. She challenges the basic assumptions of photography and stretches its boundaries in an aspiration to think about photography in terms of material, and about material in terms of time, trying to trick thought patterns and allow imagination to move freely through space.
