This is one of the last two photographs she exhibited before COVID-19 at Raw Art (2020). The work is called “Shamanic” in Hebrew with a feminine form, and in English without gender attribution. The “futuristic” image of the figure deepens and converses with the three-dimensional experience of her works. Noa Yafe develops the technique she calls “photo-dioramas” – works that constantly move between the language of photography and sculpture, between two-dimensional and three-dimensional. The artist uses duplications, reflections, disruptions, lighting effects, color, and scale to stretch the boundaries of the genres in which she works.
