Dorian Gottlieb

A graduate with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bezalel, Gottlieb uses photography to explore new readings of symbols and themes such as socialism in Israel, the kibbutz, Israeli nationalism, and icons of the Israeli and global art world. His working process often involves manipulated images, primarily architectural, combining textures and various parts of images into a form of collage. These techniques aim to challenge conventional approaches to direct photography and restore a sculptural, handmade dimension to the medium.
