Karam Natour
An artist and lecturer in video art, Natour graduated from Bezalel’s Screen Arts Department and holds a Master’s degree in Arts from the same institution. His works have been exhibited in various museums and festivals both in Israel and internationally. In 2020, Natour was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. His works explore aspects of identity, its fluidity, and how it is constructed and imposed by various frameworks – family, society, culture, politics, and gender. The central figure in Natour’s drawings is himself, as he embarks on historical, cultural, and social journeys. The physical presence of the body is a recurring motif in his works, emphasizing the allegorical contexts surrounding bodily existence.
