Mati Elmaliach

Working in photography, Elmaliach has received scholarships from the America-Israel Foundation and the Rothschild Foundation. His works are part of collections including Shoken, the Knesset of Israel, the Soho House Network, and the New Fund for Cinema and Television. Elmaliach often works with images from family archives, and the sea is a recurring motif in his works. For him, it represents both a geographical space connected to Safi (his father’s hometown in Morocco) and an emotional place of silence and contemplation.
