Reut Dafna

Living and creating in Kibbutz Maoz Haim in Emek HaMaayanot, Dafna specializes in charcoal powder drawings and figurative oil paintings. Her work process involves creating multiple layers, which provide depth and effects of shades and textures, making the figures and subjects she paints appear alive and breathing on paper. Her inspiration comes mainly from the people and landscapes surrounding her in everyday life, and in recent years, she has focused on paintings based on old photographs from family albums and the kibbutz archive. Through these, she offers glimpses into life then and now, providing a sense of belonging and connection to the community and the stories behind the images.
