Like many other Italian brands, Cappellini that was founded in 1946 by Enrico Cappellini started as workshop for artisanal wooden furniture. When Enrico’s son, Julio, joined the workshop he brought a fresh take and a passion for design that turned Cappelini into a world-wide brand with global recognition – 70 years after the wood workshop is long gone. The brand is known for its unique perspective that combines an open mind, experimental design, and high standard of quality in production. Julio is currently the art director and its collections are eclectic, using different design languages – some are breezy and daring, some are artistic, and some are minimal and simple. The brand offers design for the private and business sector as well as creating new iconic designs constantly. The brand’s collaborations include designers from all over the world – as a policy that is meant to keep the brand interesting and versatile. Some of the designers are Benjamin Hubert, Patrick Norguet, Pierro Lissoni, Jean Marrie Massud and more.
