Massimo Morozzi
Born in Florence in 1941, currently works and lives in Milan. He established the design and architecture company Archizoom in 1966, along with Andrea Branzi, Gilberto Corretti and Paolo Deganello. The group worked in Florence producing projects, and writing articles describing their exploration of a tech-based, flexible method for urban planning. The group’s goal: to awaken human creativity and imagination. In 1974, the company split, and each member went his sperate way. In 1982, he established his own studio, mostly designing houseware and retail items. His line is characterized by a functional-figurative approach that embeds creative innovation. In 1978, he started working as the art director for Edra company, where he was the company’s graphic design and in charge of designing items such as the modular Paesaggi Italiani. He lectured in designed academies around the world and his works are displayed in the museum of modern art in New York and at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
