Massimo Scolari
Born in Milan, studied architecture with Aldo Rossi. He was an educator, academic, editor, artist, and a designer. He was known as a successful and recognized lecturer for Architecture History in the Venice institute of architecture, where he became a professor in 1986 and kept studying up to 2001. He served as a guest professor in Cornell University, in the American Architecture Institute, the Union Cooper for Urban studies in NYC, at the Royal College of Art, Vienna’s Technische Universitaet, Harvard University, Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura at Barcelona, UCLA and Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen.
Since 1989, he has been a furniture designer for Giorgetti and serves as the company’s art director up to 2001. He also designed a few important items for Alessi. Nowadays, he lives and works as a painter and designer in Venice. His designs, painting and illustrations were presented in many exhibits in Milan biennale as well as Venice, Japan, and other US destinations.
