Paola Navone
Born in Torino, Italy but living and working in Milan. Navone refuses to name herself with a design title and prefers to be called an artist. Navone chooses to keep her creative freedom and keeps choosing unexpected, interesting projects. Over the years she worked as an architect, designer, art director and interior designer. She was also an art critic and produced art events and exhibitions for a line of selected client and brands such as Falper, Alessi and others. Since 1998, Navone is the art director for Gervasoni and solely designed most of their attention-grabbing, recognized collections, some of them received with awe around the world. She’s considered to be a leader of conceptual design and helps develops collections for more companies like Baxter. She’s considered to have a distinct signature of her work: combining different materials and mixing prints in unique color choice. She’s also an eclectic collector of accessories from all over the world and designs accessories for different brands.
